4-8" Hickory in the Florida Swamp


These are 4-8" Select and Character Grade hickory. The client did not want any knots and they were finished with Polyurethane. In fact, they originally wanted to stain the floor, but loved the wood so much they left it natural.
This house is in the Tate's Hell National Forest in the Panhandle of Florida near Apalachicola and St George Island. It was a real treat for Darryl to install these, as this is where he lived with his mother in the early 80's.
And an even better treat to see some old friends again.

Hickory job with Sweeney & Sons

The beginning of some beautiful Hickory floors! 4-8" random, Select and Character grade. Being installed this week!

These 6", 8", 10" boards were installed, finished and face nailed by KSI Designworks.

The finish is Satin Tung Oil, our fav!
