Bubbling Creek has floors!

3-9" Rustic White Oak stained with a traditional ebonizing and finished with tung oil. Beautiful! I can't wait to see this house finished!

Who we are

KSI Designworks sells hardwoods ranging from pines to walnut, exotics and reclaimed materials. Our specialty is wide plank flooring, but we do any type of wood craftsmanship and providing of materials needed for the job at hand.

We live in Candler Park, a wonderful historical neighborhood just a few miles from downtown Atlanta. I do the selling, designing and selection process with the homeowner, builder, designer or architect. Candler Park Restorations is Darryl's business and he does the installation and wood work.

KSI Designworks also provides design assistance to homeowners in their interior decor selections. Together we determine and catalog interests, styles and colors, then pull it all together with the ultimate buying decisions.

The floor selection is either pre-determined or with my help, carefully selected with a few factors in mind. What kind of wood do you like? Do you like to see color variation in the wood? Do you like to see knots or character? Are you more modern in taste or classic; how about your lifestyle? Casual and laid back or meticulous and particular? All of these things play a role in the wood and finish selection. I then make samples for matching with other finishes in the home.

KSI Designworks works with select sawyers and mills that provide reclaimed materials and newly sawn, yet FSC Certified woods. I prefer northern woods, longer lengths and wider boards in my floors, as well as customization. I have selected my mills with this in mind.

Darryl's company Candler Park Restorations, holds the weight of the construction side of things. He typically does all of the fine tuning and scheduling with the builder.
